The Conversation

The Conversation - Jewish in AmericaThe Conversation: Jewish In America is a unique project based on a simple concept. Bring together 65 American Jews who are leaders or potential leaders in their respective fields to talk about the future of Jewish life in this country and what it means to be Jewish in the 21st century.

The Conversation strives to be a conference different from all others. Utilizing Open Space Technology, The Conversation places the agenda in the hands of the participants. This framework creates an astoundingly level playing field, where for 48 hours, philanthropists meet activists who meet academics who meet journalists who meet comedians who meet politicians who meet non-profit leaders. The program is intended to provide a safe and creative place for people from a wide span of religious, political and generational perspectives - but who share a love for the Jewish people and care about its history, survival and advancement - to meet, talk, and imagine together. Some of the greatest and most creative minds in the American Jewish community have participated in The Conversation since its inception.

Created by Gary Rosenblatt, editor and publisher of The Jewish Week, The Conversation is a partnership of The Jewish Week and CLI. For more information about The Conversation, visit www.theconversation2007.com.
