Renewal, Education, Action, Leadership and Inspiration for Teach for America
The REALITY Israel Experience 10-day trip to Israel for Teach for America corps members will be taking place for the second year in a row from July 11-22, 2010.
Last year, the experience included visiting sites, learning first-hand about the Israeli educational system and exploring the values that drive corps members' professional aspirations and social justice passions. This leadership development opportunity was interesting, fun and rejuvenating, and provided corps members with new skills and tools to make meaningful differences in the communities and classrooms in which they live and work.
The program was attended by 40 TFA corps members who were selected based on prior achievements, potential to transform participation into meaningful action, and ability to contribute positively to the group experience.
The REALITY Israel Experience is a project of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation and the Samberg Family Foundation, in partnership with the Center for Leadership Initiatives and Teach for America.
